About the Author

Gene Greenberg, documentary film producer of A PROMISE TO OUR FATHERS, writer, and now the author of NO MATTER HOW FAR, spent his career as a broadcast television executive. It was through television that he learned the power of communication and effective storytelling.

Growing up the son of two Holocaust survivors, Gene learned lessons about humanity and tolerance that can only come from hearing the stories of parents who saw the worst of both. He has been sharing his parent’s remarkable story for years in classrooms, conferences, synagogues, libraries, and on film. In his debut novel, for the first time, he is walking in his late father’s shoes to deliver his arduous journey to the page.

Gene Greenberg is Vice-Chairperson of Nevada’s Governors Advisory Council on Education Related to the Holocaust. He serves on the Regional Board of the Anti-Defamation League and is a past president of Temple Beth Sholom in Las Vegas. He is a past chairperson of the Nevada Broadcasters Association and served as chairperson of NBC Television’s Sales and Marketing Committee.
